An Industry-Leading, State-of-the-Art Aluminum Foundry for Aluminum Billet Casting
The company’s state-of-the-art aluminum foundry has refined and redefined casting of aluminum log and billet for the extrusion industry. Our three melting furnaces, two melt holding/transfer furnaces, and two casting pits enable us to produce up to 120,000 lbs. annually.
Aluminum Shapes, LLC produces a wide range of 6000 Series aluminum casting alloys for use in extrusion presses. “Special” alloyed logs can also be produced to meet specific customer equipment. Typically, material chemistry is controlled to improve characteristics such as bending, machineability or finish, based upon the end use of the product. Minimum quantities are required for these customer specific alloys.
- 7, 9, 11, 14, and 16˝ diameter logs

Our Equipment Capabilities
The process of manufacturing precision-formulated billets in our foundry begins with furnaces that melt and process recycled aluminum ingots and recycled aluminum. The molten aluminum is then transferred into the hold/tilting furnaces where it is meticulously tested and then cast into finished logs.
