Aluminum Shapes Receives Quality System Certification from The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
ALUMINUM SHAPES RECEIVES QUALITY SYSTEM CERTIFICATION FROM THE AMERICAN BUREAU OF SHIPPING (ABS) Aluminum Shapes, LLC, an industry-leading extruder and fully integrated aluminum services resource, has announced quality system certification of its Delair, NJ plant from the American Bureau of Shipping.
Aluminum Shapes is one of only three aluminum extruders in the United States to qualify for this prestigious designation since ABS aluminum mill certification became mandatory in 2006. Certification with ABS’s Quality Assurance Program allows Aluminum Shapes plant to produce ABS approved grades of AA 6061 aluminum alloy extrusions with temper designations of T 6 in thicknesses up to 13mm.
As a result, Aluminum Shapes will be able to supply aluminum material for a diverse range of critical naval/marine, oil and gas industry, workboat/supply vessel applications, and the growing luxury yacht industry.
